Where they started

The Science Communication Lab produces documentary film and media about science. Over the years they’d ended up with several separate websites for their different brands and projects — awkward to maintain, and inconsistent for the people visiting them.

We brought those properties together into a single WordPress site, built to flex around the way they actually work rather than force them into a rigid template.

• A custom, fully customisable permalink system
• A bespoke header-section builder so their team can lay pages out themselves
• Video carousels, bookmarking and member registration

Where it got to

The Lab now manages a growing library of film and science content from one place, and can add whole new sections without coming back to a developer each time — which is exactly what a busy media organisation needs.
