I’m Rik Seddon, founder of SeddCo. For 25+ years I’ve helped businesses make technology work for them — and right now that mostly means helping them adopt AI in a way that genuinely pays off.

Most businesses know AI matters but aren’t sure how to use it without wasting time or money. I help on two fronts. I build — AI-enabled automation and optimisation, taken end to end from working out what’s worth doing through to putting it live, so you can do more without doubling your team. And I train — getting your people genuinely confident using AI tools in their day-to-day work, not just dabbling with them.

A long way round to doing this well.
I started in customer training and technical support — first at Microvitec, then at IBM, running web projects inside formal service-level and change processes. From there I ran my own international web studio, ETS.io, with clients including Hilton, IHG, Thai Airways and Toyota, and spent time as CTO and lead developer at a startup. For the last decade or so I’ve run SeddCo, and several of my clients have stayed with me ten years and more.
More recent work spans custom WordPress, PHP and JavaScript platforms, e-commerce, and integrations tying together CRM, mailing and payment systems — along with LLM-powered tooling. That’s included work for the Science Communication Lab, the Human Immunome Project, Entanglement Technologies, and a handful of longevity and technology ventures.

Whatever the technology, the job has always been the same: make it dependable and genuinely useful for the people who rely on it. I keep things plain, I’m straight about what’s worth doing, and I’m still here when you need me — you deal with me directly, not a ticket queue.
Day to day I work with PHP, JavaScript and Python; WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify; REST APIs and webhooks; AI-assisted development and LLM integration; Microsoft 365 and business automation; and the cybersecurity and IT support that keeps it all running.
